Upcoming Meetings

The theme "Growing by Pieces" was chosen for the 2010/2011 year. The first meeting of the year is also the Annual meeting. It will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Art Center. In addition to Annual meeting business, all members are encouraged to bring a piece that they would like to have critiqued before the Second Biennial Member's Exhibition opening October 1st. Entry forms are due Sept. 15th. There will also be a hands-on working time, so all members are encouraged to bring whatever they are working on, and all their materials.

November 9, 2010 will be a hands-on meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Art Center. Silvia Wilhelm suggested creating collages inspired by the Master's works, and that will be the focus of this meeting. A Board meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. before the regular meeting.

Gayle Gerson has generously offered to repeat the very successful meeting she held at her house. It will be a working meeting, on Saturday, January 15, 2011. All artists are encouraged to bring their starter collages they no longer wish to work on so another artist can give it a go. More details will be forthcoming.

The March meeting will be a combination of speaker and demonstrations. One suggestion is Ashley Benton from Paonia.

The May meeting will be a Celebration meeting, and a working one. Glue/medium and scissors are all the members need to bring. Other materials will be provided.

A "sharing box" will be created for the convenience of members who are struggling to carry so many supplies back and forth to the meetings. The box will be designed for all members to contribute to whenever they can, or contribute a few dollars to it now and then.
